1. Who we are
CurrencyHub (currencyhub.app) is a currency collection platform. Collectors can sign in, track coins and banknotes, browse a world catalog, and use community features. CurrencyHub also publishes educational short videos about currency to the official CurrencyHub YouTube channel.
2. YouTube API Services
CurrencyHub uses YouTube API Services to connect a Google/YouTube account and to upload, schedule, and manage videos on that channel. This is how CurrencyHub publishes catalog shorts to YouTube.
By using CurrencyHub features that connect to YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s collection and use of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
When a YouTube account is connected, CurrencyHub may access:
- basic channel information (channel ID and title) to confirm the connected account;
- permission to upload videos, including title, description, tags, category, privacy status, and scheduled publish time;
- OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to keep the channel connected and to publish later without signing in again.
CurrencyHub does not read your personal YouTube watch history, comments, or subscriptions. YouTube data is used only to operate the publishing feature: identify the channel, upload or schedule CurrencyHub videos, and record the resulting video ID and publish status.
You can disconnect CurrencyHub from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After access is revoked, CurrencyHub cannot upload to that channel until it is connected again.
3. Google Sign-In
Collectors can sign in with Google. CurrencyHub requests standard profile information: Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo. We use this to create and maintain your CurrencyHub account, show your profile, and keep you signed in.
CurrencyHub does not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or other Google data for collector sign-in.
4. Information we collect
Depending on how you use CurrencyHub, we may process:
- Account data: name, email, profile photo, user ID, language preference, and sign-in timestamps.
- Collection and community content: items you add, images you upload, forum posts, and currency requests.
- Device data: a generic device label and browser user agent, used to support the web app.
- Payments: if you tip or upgrade, PayPal processes the payment. CurrencyHub stores plan status and PayPal order or subscription identifiers — not your full card number.
- YouTube connection data: as described in section 2, for the connected publishing channel only.
- Local preferences: theme and language saved in your browser.
5. How we use information
We use this information to:
- provide, secure, and improve CurrencyHub;
- authenticate you and keep your collection tied to your account;
- publish CurrencyHub videos to the connected YouTube channel;
- process optional PayPal tips and premium upgrades;
- respond to support or data requests.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google or YouTube user data. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and collection data while your account is active. YouTube OAuth tokens are kept only while a channel remains connected and are deleted when the connection is removed or access is revoked. Published videos remain on YouTube according to that channel’s YouTube settings.
To request deletion of your CurrencyHub account data, contact us using the details below. You can also revoke Google/YouTube access at Google Account permissions.
8. Children
CurrencyHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of CurrencyHub after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy, Google/YouTube data, or deletion requests: use CurrencyHub at currencyhub.app or the developer contact email listed on our Google Auth Platform project for CurrencyHub.
